Eligibility

  • The following criteria must be met by eligible candidates:
  • Be a citizen of a qualifying country or territory for Chevening.
  • You must return to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship has expired.
  • To be eligible to apply for a postgraduate program at a UK university, you must have completed all requirements for an undergraduate degree by the time you submit your application. This is typically comparable to an upper-second-class 2:1 honors degree in the UK, though it may vary depending on your field and university choice.
  • Have worked a minimum of 2,800 hours over the course of two years.
  • You must have accepted an unconditional offer from one of the three qualified UK employers by July 13, 2023.


Application Guidelines

Only the Chevening online application system, accessible through the "apply" button on your country's page, may be used to submit Chevening Award applications. The application deadline is November 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. GMT (midday).
